Labels

 
• The peel-off tracking label on the bottles should be stuck onto the patient record to enable accurate recording of the contrast agent used. The dose used should also be recorded. If electronic patient records are used, the name of the product, the batch number and the dose should be entered into the patient record.
• The expiry date is indicated on the label.
 

Shelf-life and storage

 
• Shelf life, three years
• Omnipaque should be stored between 15 to 30°C protected from direct sunlight
• The product in glass vials may be stored at 37°C for up to 1 month
• The product in polymer bottles may be stored at 37°C for up to one month in a contrast agent warmer utilizing circulating air
